I love Alaska in winter. I like it much more than Alaska in summer. The light is so strange. I expect the sun to set late, but I don’t get used to the sun rising so late in the day, almost 11am! As the song says, “the cold never bothered me anyway” and in my case, it’s really true.
This trip was extra special because I got to spend Madi’s 24th birthday with her and her friends. She is working at my station, sometimes doing news! And she is doing postgraduate work in anthropology.
