What’s working…

Not sure how much is us, how much is Trump, but we are getting a lot of meters lately.  Last Tuesday you had 28 meters come in during the course of your show.  In January you had 16.  So its a matter of getting them to stay longer and come back more often!

When you are insightful, you are very insightful.  You are explaining and adding to the conversation instead  of just reacting to it.   The Poet comes out.  We need this to happen much more consistently.

What needs more attention…

It’s all about prep and consistency.  When you really prep, think things through, it’s obvious and you add vs react, as noted above and with a great example below.  So you have to do this much more. And you have to add to the conversation much more frequently than now.

Make the “liberal Pukes” thing a real exception, so we know something is particularly egregious rather than “it’s just another hour in Rima’s show”.

Even when you make it about you, make it about us.  In one hour you were going through the five states of a primary day, talking about which ones you know and where you had lived.  We don’t care.  BUT we would care about your experience with each state related to what we can expect to see voters of that state do in the primary.  Your personal experience is really valuable, but as it relates to a topic or us, not by itself.

Audio Examples…

01 The Poet comes around. A well thought out point about the GOP…

02 Well thought out, less caustic comment about the Dems…

03 Joe Pags.  He’s really undisciplined and has the mystery sidekick, but he ‘shows up’ much more consistently and is therefore more informative.  There is much more to take away…

Meters…

Talking about how you think Trump will try to be more presidential and what that will look like, coming out of the bottom the hour.  Note that when you are in a basic, informative monologue and not ranting about “liberal pukes”, you get constant tune in and not a single tune-out…
