2014 was a crazy year for travel.
The truth is, I should have known, right from New Year’s Day. I started the year by making a trip to Alaska during the first week.
It was an emergency trip, a new show taking over, neither host with any radio experience. But then came a new morning show in Portugal, a HUGE morning show launch in Spain. Then Mexico. Los Angeles. TWO new morning shows in France. Since morning shows are the most important shows on a station, each one of these moves is intense. So the travel started early and never let up. The year ended in late December doing focus groups in four Spanish cities over 8 days to check on the show we launched when the year started.
At that point I had traveled nearly 200,000 miles. Not the bonus miles you get when your elite status kicks in, but miles miles. Hard miles.
What I love about this blog is it gets me out of radio studios and conference rooms and focus groups. It allows me to stay connected. And it’s a big thing to me that you allow me to share.
So as I start off 2015, here are six pictures from 2014….
There are six pictures from last year. And, for extra credit, one more…
